"The absolute last program": Teicher and Zarachovitz end their joint radio journey after 21 years
Following the cancellation of their Radio Tel Aviv show, the broadcasting duo has decided not to continue on another platform. Sharon Teicher and Eran Zarachovitz, who have collaborated since 2005, will continue their partnership on the show "Eretz Nehederet."
Broadcasting and comedy duo Sharon Teicher and Eran Zarachovitz announced on Thursday the end of their 21-year joint radio journey. Over the past two decades, they have alternated between hosting shows on Galei Tzahal and Radio Tel Aviv.
Following reports that their long-running Radio Tel Aviv program, which began in 2015, was being cancelled, the duo considered moving to a new platform. However, Zarachovitz confirmed they have chosen to conclude the project entirely. The final episode will air this week, followed by a farewell event on stage. The two will continue their professional collaboration as cast members on the popular show Eretz Nehederet.
"On Tuesday we will broadcast our absolute last program. At this stage, we have decided not to continue to another station or podcast and to say goodbye to the program," Zarachovitz wrote.
Reflecting on their career, he highlighted the evolution of their work, from "Tziporei Laila Menakarot" on Galei Tzahal to "Hotrim Le'maga," and their final 11-year tenure at Radio Tel Aviv.
"We feel it is time to say goodbye while the program is still loved, so it remains a funny and fond memory for us and the members of our 'cult.' We started as two 30-year-old friends, fueled by our friendship and love. We are happy to finish two decades later in exactly the same state: two friends who love to make each other laugh," he added.
Teicher and Zarachovitz began their partnership in 2005. Their shows became known for their wild humor and unique character work, with several of their creations later transitioning to Eretz Nehederet, where both continue to perform.
