American big man Nathan Knight signs with Bnei Herzliya
Last season, the American (29, 2.08m) averaged 10.2 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in China: "The third summer we are trying to bring him."
Bnei Herzliya announced on Friday the signing of American forward-center Nathan Knight (29, 2.08m). Knight's resume includes 108 NBA games, a standout season in the G-League, and two successful years in Asia—the first in China and the second in South Korea.
Knight is a graduate of the College of William & Mary, where he played alongside former team player Andy Van Vliet. In his final college season, he averaged 20.7 points and 10.5 rebounds, earning Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors in the CAA conference.
Though undrafted, Knight secured a professional contract and played three seasons in the NBA (2020/21–2022/23) for Atlanta and Minnesota. He recorded 108 appearances, averaging 3.7 points and 2 rebounds in 7.7 minutes per game.
During the 2023/24 season, he became one of the G-League's leading big men, averaging 12.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in 25.5 minutes. In 2024/25, he ventured outside the USA for the first time, joining Ganjing in the Chinese league, where he averaged 10.2 points and 7.1 rebounds while winning a championship title.
Last season, he played in South Korea for the Sono Skygunners, establishing himself as one of the league's top foreign players. He averaged 17.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, earning a spot on the All-Season team and leading his team to the Korean league finals.
Team coach Yehua Orland stated:
"Nathan is the player we identified as our first option, a player we have been trying to bring for the third summer, and to our delight, this time it became realistic. He is a versatile big man who can play both frontcourt positions, talented defensively and offensively, and an excellent rebounder. We are his first stop in Europe, and we hope that together we will prove that he belongs to the highest levels."
Knight completes the team's foreign roster, which also includes Zack Bryant, Deshawn Francis, D.J. Bruton, Noah Carter, and D.J. Barnes. The club is currently looking for another Israeli player, with Rafi Menco and Yiftach Ziv among the options.
