The new addition to Bennett - and Tropper's declaration: "We will not sit under Netanyahu"

The chairman of the Biyad party, former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, announced today, Tuesday, the addition of Nissan Zeevi, a man of the North who was among the leaders of the struggle to rehabilitate the confrontation line and founded the Lobby 1701 organization.

Nissan is a member of Kibbutz Kfar Giladi near the Lebanese border, and has served more than 400 days of reserve duty since October 7 as a member of the kibbutz's standby squad, while his family was evacuated from their home.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Zionist Home-Reservists party, former minister Chili Tropper, clarified in the firmest way yet that the party will not sit under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of the elections to be held in October. He said these things in a video published on social media.

Tropper detailed the following principles:

"We will be part of only a Zionist government, we will make a real effort to expand the government as much as possible with parties that will accept its principles, we will not sit in a Netanyahu government".

In the Religious Zionism party led by Bezalel Smotrich, they attacked following Tropper's declaration:

"This is what the fake unity of Tropper and Hendel looks like, who announce that they are boycotting the people of Religious Zionism, and more than a million Likud voters who see PM Netanyahu as a candidate for Prime Minister. In fact, Tropper put a gun to the temple of the national camp and says: either Netanyahu is ousted - or I will crown Yair Golan as Defense Minister and Naama Lazimi as a cabinet member. This is not unity. This is baseless hatred and a return to the divisive boycotts of October 6".

The chairman of the "Unity" party, Gilad Erdan, also referred to Tropper's declaration: "Now things are clear: you voted Tropper - you got Yair Golan. Only the Unity party will not sit in any narrow government but will bring about the establishment of a broad unity government of the two blocs. Whoever wants unity, a true right wing and true recruitment - will get them only with us".

In the announcement of Zeevi's addition, the Biyad party wrote that he is the third generation of pioneers of settlement in the Galilee, who during the war established the "Home - returning to the Galilee" movement and "Lobby 1701" with the goal of representing the residents of the North in their struggle to restore security and develop the region.

"Nissan brings with him extensive experience in public work, after serving as a senior advisor to several ministers and Knesset members. Later he moved to the business sector and filled senior management roles in the fields of investment and innovation," it was stated.

Bennett stated that he is "proud to add Nissan, a fighter and entrepreneur at heart, to the State of Israel's correction team. The firm spirit he brought to the North since October 7, Nissan will bring to the country's correction team".

Zeevi himself stated following the joining: "After three years of fighting for the home, 400 days of reserve duty and a government that disconnected from the North, I understood that it is no longer possible to stand on the sidelines - the time has come to enter the arena, to represent the confrontation line where decisions about our future are made and to take care of the Galilee from within. I am joining Naftali Bennett because the State of Israel now needs a leader with experience, management ability and above all execution ability".

At the same time, the Shas party revealed its slogan ahead of the elections, with the message: "A path of faith I have chosen". According to the party, the slogan "is in the sign of faith and unity with the people of Israel. At the center of the campaign is the connection of the people of Israel to faith in the Creator of the world and the Jewish identity of the State of Israel".

Shas chairman Aryeh Deri explained: "The slogan 'A path of faith I have chosen', a verse from the Book of Psalms, expresses the source of the strength of the people of Israel - faith in the Creator of the world. During the war we saw a spiritual awakening and a growing longing, especially among the young generation, to strengthen in faith and Jewish identity. Shas is the only party that fights for the Jewish identity of the State of Israel".
