The push to hold the prestigious conference at the "David Citadel" hotel came from advisors to the Minister of Health appointed by the Shas party, acting against the recommendations of the ministry's professional echelon.
The Ministry of Health's participation in funding the event was first reported by Omri Maniv on Channel 12 News. The conference, which focused on mental health within the Haredi community, featured a dinner, an artistic performance, and a play.
Although the Shas party has vacated its government positions and its ministers have resigned, political advisors and other appointees continue to work within various offices, maintaining their influence over decision-makers.
