Hapoel Be'er Sheva's match in the first round of the Premier League, originally scheduled for two weeks from now against Hapoel Haifa, will be postponed to a later date. The Premier League champion will exercise its right to postpone the opening round, as it falls between two playoff matches that await the team—though it is not yet clear in which European competition this will be.

If Hapoel Be'er Sheva advances past Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday in Serbia, it will play in the Champions League playoffs. If eliminated by the Serbs, the team will drop to the Europa League playoffs. In any case, Hapoel Be'er Sheva is guaranteed at least a spot in the upcoming season of the Conference League.

The Football League Administration has for several years allowed teams reaching decisive playoff matches before the group stage to postpone their first league round. In the past, some teams chose to postpone, while others preferred to start the league as scheduled.

Hapoel Be'er Sheva will utilize this right to postpone the first round, ensuring the team does not have to play between two such critical playoff matches that will determine its European competition for the next season.
