Maof Group acquires half of Sharan Medical shares and enters the community medical solutions market
Maof Group is entering the field of community medicine, one of the fastest-growing sectors in the world, which serves as a solution to the problem of overcrowding in emergency rooms and hospitalization wards. A few years ago, Bank Leumi acquired 20% of Maof's shares.

Maof Group has signed an agreement to acquire 50% of the shares of Sharan Medical at Home. Maof Group is owned, among others, by Bank Leumi, which holds 20% of the company's shares through Leumi Partners, the bank's real investment arm.
The deal is expected to expand Maof's operations into the field of community medicine, which is seen as a solution to the problem of overcrowding in emergency rooms and hospital wards. This market in Israel is estimated at approximately $1.6 billion and is growing at a double-digit rate.
Upon completion of the transaction, which is subject to standard conditions and approvals, Sharan's founders, Dr. Yves Biton and Ayelet Biton, will hold 50% of the company's shares, and the owners of Maof Group, Amit Reshef and Yaniv Nadler, will hold the remaining 50%. Dr. Yves Biton will continue to lead Sharan as Chairman, and his son Itamar Biton will continue to serve as CEO and lead business operations.
Sharan operates in the field of community and home medical services, providing a wide range of services for HMOs, hospitals, insurance companies, and public organizations. Maof Group has been operating for over 27 years in the fields of human capital and managed services, providing solutions for the public sector, leading companies, industry, and infrastructure.
Asaf Saran, CEO of Maof Group, stated:
"The investment in Sharan is another strategic move in realizing Maof Group's growth vision. We identify significant potential in community and home healthcare services and see the field as an opportunity to build one of the group's growth engines in the coming years. The partnership with the Biton family will allow us to connect the capabilities and experience of both groups, expand operations, and deepen our presence in the market."
Itamar Biton, CEO of Sharan Medical at Home, added:
"The partnership with Maof Group is a significant step in Sharan's development. We bring many years of experience in providing high-quality medical services, and Maof Group brings management, growth, and operational capabilities that are among the best in Israel. This connection will allow us to expand the scope of operations and develop new services."
