Chief of Staff, Rav-Aluf Eyal Zamir, visited the Palmachim base on Sunday with the Air Force Commander, Aluf Omer Tishler, and other commanders. During the visit, the Chief of Staff held a situation assessment regarding the IDF Air Force's readiness for a variety of scenarios, in both defense and offense.

In addition, he spoke with the fighters of the special units and expressed his appreciation for their work and their operational contribution in all sectors.

"In recent years, you have brought new capabilities to the battlefield. The operations you have carried out are unprecedented and require daring, imagination, and execution skills, and we will not be able to speak publicly about most of them," Zamir told the fighters.

"In the multi-front campaign in which we are engaged, the wing has operated further than ever before, with special and groundbreaking capabilities, and for a longer duration than ever before. These are activities that will be written in the pages of the history of the IDF, with strategic significance. We remain in a state of alertness and readiness in all sectors, in defense and in offense."

To the reservists he met, he said: "I want to express deep appreciation to the reservists. You are a central part of our ability to stand in a multi-front war and deal with the various challenges. I salute you on behalf of all the people of Israel."
