Legendary basketball player votes in Likud primaries: "Netanyahu has experience"

Tal Brody, Israel Prize laureate and former basketball star for the Israeli national team and Maccabi Tel Aviv, arrived today, Monday, to cast his vote in the Likud primaries and express his full support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In an interview with Kan News, the legendary athlete confirmed that he had already completed the voting process.

"I chose the person who I believe can be good for the country. I think it is an honor to vote, and I also vote in the United States. Every citizen should wake up, think about who they intend to support, and consider what is best for the country, its security, and what can unite the people."

Brody further remarked:

"The country will decide if Netanyahu should serve as Prime Minister again. It depends on the coalition he can form. I believe he has enough experience and knows that the people need to be united. If he needs to take steps to unite the nation, I think he will do it, and I hope he takes that step."

Polls opened this morning across the country for the Likud primaries, marking the most intense election campaign in the party's history. A total of 107 polling stations have been prepared, with approximately 150,000 registered members expected to decide who will represent the party in the next Knesset. Voting will continue until the evening, with Bloomfield Stadium serving as the central venue for the final results starting at 21:00.
