Star of "Eretz Nehederet" closes her business after four years

The Tel Aviv coffee scene is saying goodbye to one of the most colorful hubs in the Florentin neighborhood. Comedian and "Eretz Nehederet" star Tom Yaar is putting "Cafe Bayit" up for sale — the neighborhood institution she established on Yedidya Frenkel Street in 2022. The spot made a name for itself thanks to its locally produced pastries, intimate atmosphere, and a unique conceptual decision to ban laptop use at the tables.
In an interview with "Good Evening with Guy Pines," Yaar addressed her decision to embark on a new path: "We are running toward the next adventure. I am tired of this business, but I appreciate everyone who works in this field." Her words reflect the familiar burnout in the demanding restaurant industry, alongside a desire to make time for upcoming projects.

The property is currently offered for sale as an active and fully equipped business. A significant added value for future buyers is the existing license to serve alcohol until midnight, which allows for extending operating hours into a bar format in the evenings. Tom Yaar marked the final days of operation alongside her close friend, actress Alma Zack, at a small farewell party and dance with the establishment's customers.
