Israeli company Odysight signed an agreement with aviation giant Boeing
Odysight.ai's technology, based on computer vision and predictive maintenance, will be demonstrated at the American aircraft manufacturer's test sites. The agreement expands the company's operations, whose developments are already installed on IDF combat helicopters and are being tested by the US Navy.
The company Odysight (Odysight.ai), which specializes in computer vision solutions based on artificial intelligence (AI) and predictive maintenance, announced on Thursday the signing of an agreement with the Boeing corporation. As part of the agreement, Odysight will demonstrate its predictive maintenance platform in selected laboratory and test environments at two of the aviation manufacturer's sites.
The current agreement is being carried out as part of an industrial cooperation agreement between Boeing and the Industrial Cooperation Authority (ICA) in Israel. This step allows Odysight to present its technology in the test environments of one of the largest aviation manufacturers in the world, with the goal of deepening its activity in the aviation and defense industry.
Presence in the Air Force and the US Navy
The engagement with Boeing joins a series of projects that the company is leading with prominent bodies in the industry. The company's computer vision-based monitoring system has been operating operationally on the Apache (AH-64) helicopters of the Israeli Air Force since 2023. In addition, the company has operational installations and engagements with the Ministry of Defense on other platforms, including Seahawk (SH-60) helicopters and "Eitan" (Heron TP) UAVs.
In the international arena, Odysight has signed a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the aircraft division of the US Navy's Naval Air Warfare Center, and is conducting a Proof of Concept (PoC) project with the APU division of Honeywell Aerospace. This sequence of activities reflects the company's transition from operational activity in the field towards expanding direct collaborations with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and global operators.
