Mother of fallen hostage Ron Sherman: "If the government of the massacre remains, I will pull my daughter out of combat units"

Maayan, mother of the soldier who was killed by an IDF strike while in Hamas captivity, wrote an angry post on Facebook. According to her, her daughter is enlisting in a combat unit, but if the "government of the massacre and the draft dodgers" remains in power, she will not send her and will ensure others do the same.

Maayan Sherman, mother of the fallen hostage Ron Sherman, wrote today (Saturday) in a Facebook post that her daughter Eden is enlisting in three months for combat service. "I hereby announce: if the government of the massacre and the draft dodgers remains, I will pull her out of there and I will ensure that other mothers do as I do," added Sherman.

Just about a month ago, Alex Sherman, Ron's father, published a difficult message presenting a hateful response directed at his wife Maayan. The documentation showed explicit disregard for the death of their son and led the father to point to a deep rift and social decay.

The publication followed harsh responses that Maayan Sherman received on social media after she published a post condemning groups of government supporters whom she called "baboons". In response to this, the mother suffered a verbal attack that included a particularly blunt message from a user who wrote: "I don't care that he was kidnapped and murdered, why is he the only one, move on, sour one."

Ron Sherman was killed while in captivity with Nik Beizer and Elia Toledano, as a "byproduct" of an IDF airstrike during the elimination of the commander of the northern brigade of Hamas, Ahmed Randour, as the army stated at the time.
