The Mark of Cain: Jewish violence is becoming a stain on the State of Israel

Anyone with a sensitive Jewish soul who saw the horrific images that came from Kusra in Samaria had to be shocked and ask: how far have we fallen? How is it that the Jewish people, who suffered more than any other nation in history from pogroms, persecutions, and massacres, is capable of fostering such hatred and evil? To foster types whose actions remind us of what our ancestors went through in the past in the Diaspora, when the burning of synagogues and Jewish homes was a routine matter.

How is it possible that Jews wearing kippot and tzitzit behave like the same rioters who harassed their and our ancestors? And worst of all, that no righteous person has risen among them to cry out:

"Stop! This is not our way and not our Torah. We do not burn fields and houses, we do not attack and do not uproot innocent people from their homes."

This silencing, the normalization of these crimes over time, is a crime that will not be forgiven, and it will be branded like the mark of Cain on the forehead of the Jewish people.

We complain when Jews, their institutions, and synagogues are attacked in various places around the globe, while here, in the Jewish state, Jewish rioter-terrorists operate from within the group with the nice nickname, "Hilltop Youth," while the eyes of those who are supposed to stop the crime are closed?

Mike Huckabee, the American ambassador, who is pro-Israel, calls them "Israeli terrorists" and demands that the Israeli government expel them from the territories of Judea and Samaria. Throughout the world, this Jewish terror raises the flames of hatred and antisemitism — this should have been enough not only to shock the government but to arouse a broad public echo in Israel. But what is received is a deafening silence, for which we will pay for years.

For a long time, during the most terrible period in the country's history, when the IDF and the security establishment are still in the midst of a war, this bad government does nothing to eradicate this terrible phenomenon in the territories — for known and familiar political reasons.

How ridiculous it looks and sounds that the great and strong IDF, which reached Iran and destroyed the strongholds of Hezbollah in Lebanon, is unable to "sweep" from Samaria this collection of violent thugs, who harm not only the Palestinians but also the IDF and the security of the country.

This anarchy integrates with the establishment of a series of illegal outposts in Judea and Samaria, as an infrastructure for the State of Judea, the dream of the messianists. Among the images that arrived last week from Kusra, IDF soldiers were seen standing shoulder to shoulder with those same rioters, for prayer in front of the homes of the besieged Palestinians, a surreal sight that serves to explain how far we have fallen.

And this, without mentioning how Defense Minister Israel Katz canceled the issuance of administrative detention orders for Jews suspected of dangerous activity. Woe to the country that has such a face and such a government.
