Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu published a video on Sunday that went viral within minutes on social media, in which he took the unusual step of revealing his personal phone number and calling on the public to contact him directly.

In the video, Netanyahu explained the motive behind the move:

"I want to hear you. Your suggestions, your questions, your pain. I want to hear, so leave me a message. I don't promise that I will answer everyone, but I will answer as many as I can, and I ask to hear from you."

However, the response to the initiative was immediate and massive, exceeding all expectations. Within a few minutes of the publication, the Prime Minister's phone could not handle the volume of inquiries and crashed under the thousands of messages and calls that flowed in simultaneously.

On the X network (formerly Twitter), documentation was published showing the screen of Netanyahu's phone as it was flooded non-stop with incoming calls and WhatsApp notifications, which eventually led to a complete shutdown of the line.

The move drew mixed reactions from the public: alongside those who welcomed the attempt to create direct contact, there were voices of users who expressed disappointment, claiming that despite the open invitation, technological reality won the battle and left them without an answer due to the device's rapid collapse.
