Kobi Maimon Talks Divorce, Wartime Comedy, and New Romance on Keshet 12
Israeli comedian Kobi Maimon opens up about finding humor during wartime, navigating his recent divorce, and his new romance with singer Daniela Lugassy.
Kobi Maimon believes that everything can be laughed at, even when times are tough. Shortly after his divorce from his wife Keren, the Israeli comedian waste no time incorporating the life change into his stand-up routines.
Ahead of his stand-up special broadcasted on Keshet 12, Maimon joined Galit and Ilanit to discuss how to make audiences laugh during wartime, what broke him emotionally during television series filming, and his new romance with singer Daniela Lugassy. Reflecting on the divorce, Maimon noted that he wanted to handle the transition at their own pace for the sake of the children.
"The divorce caught me during a period of war, everything was locked down. But today I am in a much better place, thank God, and there is also a new love alongside my relationship with the children," Maimon shared.
For the past ten months, Maimon has been in a relationship with singer Daniela Lugassy. He revealed that she initially had no idea who he was or the extent of his public exposure until they attended a show together and saw fans lining up for photos.
