Israel Set to Vote on Budget for October 7 Terrorist Trials
The Israeli government is voting on a special budget and institutional framework to prosecute October 7 massacre perpetrators in a dedicated military tribunal in Jerusalem.

Government to Vote on Special Tribunal Budget
The Israeli government is set to vote on a dramatic resolution regarding the implementation of the law to prosecute perpetrators of the October 7 massacre. The legislation establishes unique legal and organizational frameworks to ensure a transparent and effective judicial process.
According to the proposed framework, terrorists will face trial before a military court in Jerusalem, with judges appointed by the Chief of Staff and approved by the President. A dedicated steering committee, chaired by the Director-General of the Ministry of Defense, will oversee the implementation.
Budgetary Adjustments and Inter-Agency Support
To finance the complex proceedings, the government will approve a three-year plan involving a temporary adjustment to the fiscal deficit ceiling, raising it to 0.8% starting in 2027. Additionally, extensive personnel secondment from various government ministries will be authorized to staff the prosecution and tribunal administration effectively.
