The start of the school year this week met Kim Or Azulay at a sensitive time, just days after she brought her firstborn into the world with her husband, basketball player Iftach Ziv.

"Honestly? Not pink, not glamorous, and not easy. I am writing this right now after five days in which I did not touch my phone for a moment. I could not answer any messages," the 23-year-old actress wrote days before the Brit Milah ceremony.

"For everyone, September 1st was a day of entering new routines, and very symbolically for us too, it marked the beginning of the most significant framework of life. The one that never ends. We are parents," Azulay began. Her post was accompanied by footage from her pregnancy and the days following the birth, reflecting the complex reality of the experience.

"I am in adjustment," she continued, before thanking the medical staff at Ichilov Hospital, the recovery hotel, and her doula, who provided her with much-needed confidence. "I need a moment to digest and understand the magnitude of this miracle. The gift I received for life. I will share more later."

She further expressed her gratitude to the most important people in her life: "To my mother, who did not let go of my hand for a moment, to our families—the best in the world—and to my best choice in the world, my husband. You are the most stable and strong anchor I could ever have chosen. I'm going to cry a little more, because it's okay and it's legitimate. Definitely."
