A serious violent incident occurred over the weekend in Kfar Saba, as a local resident in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of attacking his partner and killing her dog with a samurai sword. The suspect was detained by Kfar Saba police officers from the Central District, and the court extended his detention until Monday, October 12.

The incident came to light following a police report regarding severe violence in the city. According to the suspicion, during the event the man attacked his female partner while simultaneously killing her dog using a samurai sword. Upon receiving the report, police units rushed to the scene, initiated an investigation into the circumstances, and arrested the suspect.

Following his interrogation and based on the collected evidence, the suspect was brought to court. Police presented the allegations against him, and the court granted the request to extend his custody until Monday, October 12, 2026. In addition, the court ordered a medical and psychological evaluation of the suspect.

The investigation into the incident continues at the Kfar Saba police station, aiming to clarify the full circumstances of the violence and the chain of events that led to the assault on the partner and the killing of the dog.
