Kfar Giladi Kibbutz Wins 542 Million Shekel Tender for Galilee Quarry
Kfar Giladi kibbutz won a 542 million shekel tender to operate the Kedari quarry in the Galilee for 24 years, expanding its dominant position in Israel's infrastructure gravel market.

Kfar Giladi kibbutz won an Israel Land Authority tender to operate the Kedari quarry in the Galilee for 542 million shekels, securing mining and operating rights for a 24-year period. Kfar Giladi Quarries plans to invest tens of millions of shekels in renovating the site and integrating new technologies.
This follows the kibbutz's acquisition two years ago of the Zanach quarry near Beit Shemesh for 1.1 billion shekels. The kibbutz also operates quarries in Kfar Giladi, Yakir, The South, and Amiad, producing gravel for infrastructure such as asphalt and concrete.
CEO Eran Schechtman stated that the upcoming decade will focus heavily on national infrastructure projects, including the metro, reconstruction of The North and The South, and transportation initiatives. Despite a current slowdown in construction, demand for gravel is expected to surge.
Beyond mining, Kfar Giladi is active in the hospitality sector, recently partnering with Canada Israel Hotels to manage its regional hotel assets following previous multi-million acquisitions.
