Former Carlos Alcaraz coach Juan Carlos Ferrero is set to train world number 4 Ben Shelton starting next season. Both Shelton and Alcaraz praised the new coaching partnership ahead of the Paris Masters.

Juan Carlos Ferrero has found the next challenge in his coaching career. The Spanish coach, who recently parted ways with Carlos Alcaraz after a highly successful partnership, will coach world number 4 Ben Shelton starting next season.
Alcaraz addressed the move following his victory at the Vienna tournament: "If it is true, I think it will be a great addition to Ben Shelton's team. I think Juanki will do an excellent job and help him improve his level even more, so I will have to keep an eye on him."
Shelton also expressed enthusiasm ahead of the Paris Masters: "He is one of the best coaches in the world. He was world number 1 as a player, and he has so much experience and knowledge to bring to my game. He can make a significant change in my career."
In a joint statement, Shelton added: "Juan Carlos has one of the brightest minds in tennis. His experience in winning at the highest levels and developing champions will be a massive addition to the team." Shelton also praised his father and coach, Brian Shelton, who continues to guide his journey.
Ferrero shared his excitement about the new chapter: "Ben has extraordinary talent, power, and character. I am very happy to join Brian and his team for this exciting new chapter and help Ben achieve his ambitious goals."
