Only two weeks after calling off her wedding, police filed a prosecutor's statement against a woman's ex-fiancé and another suspect, implicating them in the arson of her vehicle. According to the investigation, following the cancellation of the wedding, the ex-fiancé began threatening her and subsequently sent an accomplice to set her car on fire.

The investigation was launched on September 16 following a report regarding the torched vehicle used by the young woman. Officers from the Shalem station in the Jerusalem District collected evidence and probed the circumstances, linking the two suspects to the crime.

Police findings indicate the main suspect and the victim were previously engaged. After she decided to call off the wedding, the ex-fiancé allegedly began issuing threats before dispatching the second suspect to burn the car.

Both suspects, residents of East Jerusalem aged 23 and 26, were arrested and interrogated. Their remand was extended periodically to complete investigative steps.

Following the establishment of sufficient evidentiary backing, a prosecutor's statement was submitted ahead of a formal indictment and a request for detention until the end of proceedings. The court extended their remand until October 4.
