"I deal with ADHD and anxiety. I'm not ashamed": Noa Itzpan in a candid interview

Noa Itzpan was not at home at all when her father suffered a stroke. At that time, she says, she spent less time with the family, and even today her memory of those months is partial and blurred. "I remember we were with him in the hospital, but it is remembered as if it were two days," she says in an interview with ynet's weekend magazine. In practice, Eli Itzpan went through a prolonged period of hospitalization and rehabilitation about eight years ago. Those who were at home during the incident were her mother Galit and her younger sister. "The little one told me, 'Something is happening to Dad'," recalls Galit in the conversation. Itzpan lost his balance, fell, and had difficulty speaking, but at first they did not understand that it was a stroke.

"I went on Google and searched for 'dizziness' and 'loss of balance'. I called an ambulance, went back to eat chicken with peas, and thought the incident was behind us. Only when the paramedic arrived did we understand." In the hospital, the severity of his condition became clear, and at night there was a deterioration. "When something happens, everyone returns to their place and I take command," added Galit, "There was no stress at home. I keep things together. The house entered a routine, there was no big drama. Yes, there was intensive care, but after it ended, we returned to functioning." After about a week, Itzpan was released home with weakness in his hand and speech impairment. When home rehabilitation was not enough, Galit says she moved him to an intensive daily rehabilitation framework that lasted about three months and was kept away from the spotlight in order to protect his privacy.

Now, as 25-year-old Noa takes her first steps in the entertainment world and appears alongside him in the film "Hill 338," she tries to walk between the raindrops — her desire to be exposed but on her own terms — not to reveal too much so as not to harm her father's wishes, and yet to reach the front of the stage. What does "being interviewed without harming Dad's wishes" mean?

"Being the daughter-of is knowing that you are in the public eye all the time. My father is very sensitive to his privacy and reputation. He is a respected man, wears a suit everywhere, and it is the role of the household members to protect that and respect that my father is a successful man, that he has a career, and that he wants to keep his life as private as possible." At this stage, she turns to her mother and asks, "Can I tell about what Dad told me, with the party?". After approval from Mom, she expands: "I once wanted to have an open party like that at home, and my father said, 'What are you talking about! If something happens, they will write in the newspaper 'They drank alcohol at Itzpan's house' and it will turn into a yellow scoop'."

Is that why your Instagram is locked to friends only? It's a bit contradictory, as someone who wants to become an actress. "I am a person who is relatively private and I love my privacy, which is a bit ironic. My agent told me, 'You need to be exposed,' and that is something I will have to work on. It's hard for me to make this transition between the private person and the national funny girl that people expect me to be." Because you are the daughter of Eli Itzpan? "Because the movie is coming out and they want to see me there, because I want to work in the field and this is our world. To be successful on the networks, you have to expose yourself. My father does his shows and returns to his privacy. I do want to be an actress and entertain, but I want to have my privacy. Once it was possible, that everyone has their own life."
