Weapon Disguised as Cell Phone Seized in Jadeide-Makr Police Raid
Police seized a cell phone-disguised weapon, a stun grenade, and ammunition during a raid in Jadeide-Makr. Illegal surveillance cameras aimed at the street were also removed.
Police seized a weapon disguised as a cell phone, a stun grenade, and ammunition during a raid on a residential compound in Jadeide-Makr on Wednesday. During the operation, officers also removed illegal security cameras aimed at the street for surveillance purposes.
Officers from the Western Galilee station and Border Police forces raided the residential compound and conducted a search. Inside one of the buildings, forces discovered a handgun cleverly disguised to look like a mobile phone. Alongside the weapon, they located a stun grenade neutralized at the scene by a bomb squad, a magazine, and loose ammunition.
During the operation, police removed four security cameras installed at the compound in violation of the law. The cameras were directed toward the street and used for monitoring.
Police stated following the activity: "We will continue to strike at crime generators, locate and seize life-endangering weapons, and act with zero tolerance until the full force of the law is applied to the criminals."
