Israir has frozen its plans to expand operations to Marrakech, Morocco, following new security directives and an incident involving a flydubai flight. The airline had planned to increase its schedule to three weekly flights and was negotiating the lease of an additional aircraft. Ticket sales for Marrakech have been suspended pending final security instructions.

The decision comes amid heightened security requirements affecting flights to Morocco. Arkia, which has been operating on the route since August, faces similar scrutiny as security officials review protocols. Meanwhile, ongoing discussions regarding Israeli airline flights to Dubai have yet to yield a resolution that satisfies Israel's security establishment.
