Dozens of Israeli mayors have signed a letter addressed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and opposition figures, calling for the immediate establishment of a broad Zionist unity government. The initiative comes amid ongoing political consultations held by President Isaac Herzog with representatives of all parliamentary factions.

Speaking on 103fm radio, Lod Mayor Yair Revivo elaborated on the municipal appeal and shared his perspective on the political stalemate. Revivo emphasized that local leaders are urging an end to political boycotts and calling on major factions to compromise, noting that issues such as military enlistment regulations can be resolved through dialogue.

Reflecting on his 13-year tenure in Lod, Revivo highlighted his local experience in fostering municipal cooperation between Jewish and Arab residents. He stressed that practical governance focuses on shared civic concerns such as infrastructure, education, and economic development rather than ideological disputes.

Revivo also addressed the dynamics within the right-bloc, analyzing voter shifts during recent elections and discussing public discourse surrounding state commissions of inquiry and political leadership.
