Israel Police Deploys 20,000 Officers Nationwide Ahead of Elections
Israel Police deploys over 20,000 officers ahead of the upcoming Knesset elections, prioritizing polling station security and public order while maintaining a high state of alert.

Israel Police is finalizing preparations for one of the largest security operations in its history ahead of the upcoming Knesset elections, deploying over 20,000 police officers and thousands of private security personnel. While authorities report no concrete terror warnings, securing polling stations against potential attacks remains the primary operational concern.
Comprehensive Deployment and Threat Assessment
The nationwide operation involves three core components: routine security, ongoing public order, and election-specific enforcement. Special attention is directed toward sensitive polling stations mapped out in advance by security forces. Elite units, including Yamam and Gideonim, are positioned across the southern and northern sectors to ensure rapid response capabilities against potential infiltration or sudden emergencies.
Coordination and Election Integrity
Police Commissioner Danny Levi and election officials met with Central Election Committee Chairman Supreme Court Justice Noam Solberg to review the security blueprints. Justice Solberg praised the extensive preparations, emphasizing that the deployment guarantees both public safety and the integrity of the democratic process. Meanwhile, Lahav 433 is currently investigating 18 cases involving suspected election incitement, as law enforcement enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward public disruptions.
