The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced preparations to unveil a new weapon dubbed the "father of all bombs" in response to US threats regarding Iran's nuclear facilities. The announcement follows rising security tensions between Tehran and Washington.
IRGC Threat and US Arsenal
IRGC spokesman Hossein Moh محبی stated that preparations are underway to reveal the new weapon, though no operational details or launch dates were provided. The statement comes as the Pentagon weighs options including the GBU-43/B massive ordnance air blast against Iranian targets.
President Donald Trump addressed the potential use of the conventional weapon in a recent interview, ruling out nuclear options while keeping conventional strikes on the table amid stalled diplomatic efforts following the June memorandum.
Missile Arsenal Claims
"We are in the preparation phase for unveiling a new system," said the IRGC spokesman.
Moh محبی also claimed that Iran's missile stockpile has increased significantly, alongside improvements in range, destructive power, and precision targeting following previous regional escalations.
