CNN reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz held urgent security consultations, while fighter jets were scrambled before officials confirmed the incident was a violent brawl rather than a hijacking.
The New York Post and Bild detailed the mid-air panic, noting that the aircraft lost 4,500 meters in altitude per minute after the co-pilot allegedly attacked the pilot on a flight linked to Israeli passengers.
