A fire broke out today, Saturday, in an underground parking lot at the construction site of the future BIG shopping complex in Petah Tikva. Following the incident, heavy smoke is rising in the area of the Jabotinsky and Moshe Dayan intersection, spreading over a large area and towards the residential towers in the Neve Gan neighborhood. Fire and rescue teams from the Petah Tikva station were dispatched to the scene, accompanied by police forces. The circumstances of the fire have not yet been clarified.

Fire and Rescue Services of Israel stated that the source of the fire is located in an underground parking lot at the construction site. The presence of stored plastic and pipes caused significant smoke, which spread from the site to the surrounding area. Firefighters are working to extinguish the flames while simultaneously conducting operations to locate the exact source of combustion and ventilate the underground parking structure. The heavy smoke is visible from a distance and covers a large area, with part of it drifting toward the nearby residential towers in Neve Gan.

Fire and Rescue Services stated that operations at the scene are ongoing and that further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
