Journalist Inbar Tweizer Engaged to IDF Reservist After 109 Days of Northern Border Duty
Prominent Israeli news correspondent Inbar Tweizer got engaged to her partner Ben Bord in Mitzpe Ramon. The proposal comes after Bord completed 109 days of IDF reserve duty on the northern border.
Journalist Inbar Tweizer (28), who has served as the Jerusalem and health correspondent for the News Company since 2020, is celebrating a major milestone in her personal life. Tweizer began her media career at the military magazine "Bamahane" and as an editor for Army Radio (Galei Tzahal). She later worked for ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth, where she covered the COVID-19 pandemic and published several high-profile investigative reports.
Over the weekend, Tweizer and her partner, Ben (Bancho) Bord (36), attended an acrobatics convention in Mitzpe Ramon. The Jerusalem-based couple, who share a passion for acrobatics, returned to the exact location where they first met nearly two years ago. Tweizer had no idea that a dramatic and emotional marriage proposal awaited her during the event.
The engagement follows a challenging period for the couple, as Bord, a high-tech professional, has been serving extended IDF reserve duty on the northern border. Tweizer recently shared her anxiety and longing on social media:
"Bancho left today for another round. 109 days of reserve duty on the northern border. Another 109 days of sleeplessness from worry. Of readjusting to life without my anchor."
Now, her anchor has returned from the north for a very special visit, culminating in a lifelong commitment.
