An 18-year-old Palestinian resident from the West Bank, staying in Israel illegally, was arrested on Monday evening in the village of Eilabun after jumping from a garbage truck in an attempt to escape. The young man was tracked down following a foot chase while hiding in bushes near a residential home.

The incident occurred at night during routine police activity in the village. Officers spotted a garbage truck unloading bins on the street when the passenger door suddenly opened. The young man jumped out of the cabin and began running rapidly toward a residential neighborhood.

Police immediately initiated a foot chase and scoured the area to trace his escape route. He was eventually found hiding in the vegetation. "The suspect was located hiding among the bushes near a residential building," police described regarding the arrest moment.

A field identification check revealed that he is a resident of Tarqumiyah in the West Bank, lacking permits to stay in Israel. He was taken for questioning at the local police station and brought to court this morning, where his remand was extended until Wednesday. The truck he was traveling in was photographed and documented as part of the ongoing investigation.
