Ilanit Levi Shares Two-Month Smoke-Free Journey and Daily Battles
TV host Ilanit Levi shared her two-month smoke-free milestone after thirty years of smoking, admitting ongoing cravings and slight weight gain while celebrating improved health and daily victories.

Challenges and Triumphs After Two Months Without Cigarettes
Well-known TV host and model Ilanit Levi has shared candid updates with her social media followers regarding her ongoing journey to quit smoking. After three decades of the habit, she has now spent two months completely smoke-free. According to Levi, the biggest challenge has been restructuring her daily routine, where cigarettes previously served as psychological punctuation marks.
«I finished the first part of my day, went straight into organizing the house, and then I thought: 'Wait. When you smoked, you would stop for a moment, make a transition between tasks, and have a cigarette break',» she explained in a series of stories.
Levi admitted that despite physical improvements, the automatic urge to smoke still arises. She frequently finds herself thinking about going out for a cigarette before remembering her new reality.
Physical Improvements and Observing Traditions
Quitting has brought noticeable health benefits. Ilanit Levi notes that she has increased her physical activity, feels much healthier, has more breath when speaking, and even sings better.
-
Noticeable boost in physical fitness and stamina.
-
Better lung capacity for speaking and singing.
-
A minor weight gain of one to one-and-a-half kilograms, which she considers a small price to pay for health.
The lifestyle shift also impacted her observance of Shabbat. While cigarettes and phones were previously the main obstacles to full observance, she managed to spend a recent important Shabbat nearly entirely disconnected, hindered only by the television.
Honesty with Followers and Support From Her Husband
Despite warnings from her husband, Eliraz Sade, asking her not to admit to missing cigarettes, Levi chose absolute transparency. She acknowledged that she still experiences cravings and occasional irritability, but views the daily struggle as a rewarding victory.
«I miss smoking, make no mistake. My honey tells me 'Don't say that!', so I am saying it: I miss cigarettes, but I still don't smoke. What is stronger than me? I am stronger than the cigarette. It is a fun daily victory, even if it was a toxic relationship», — she stated.
