Ilanit Levi: "Eliraz fainted in the delivery room. I knew it would happen"

"Baby Boom" is returning to our screens, providing a perfect moment to reflect on the intensity of the delivery room. Dr. Anat Rabinovich-Lavi, who accompanies the mothers on the show (premiering Monday after the news on Keshet 12), sat down with Galit Gutman and Ilanit Levi to discuss how to manage the stress of giving birth in front of the cameras.

Ilanit Levi was the first to share that her husband, Eliraz Sade, could not handle the pressure during the birth of their daughter, Aria, which did not come as a surprise to her:

"I knew he would faint. We were in the operating room, it was my third C-section, and I told everyone: 'If you go to him when he faints, I am getting up and I am not giving birth here anymore.' Everyone went to him anyway."

Galit Gutman’s experience with her former partner, Ziv Koren, was different but equally frustrating:

"During my first birth, my ex fell asleep while I was having contractions. How did I not understand that at the time? I told him: 'Why are you sleeping? I'm having contractions!' It was insulting. When you give birth, those seconds are etched in you, and I was angry about it for years."

Dr. Rabinovich-Lavi spoke about what viewers can expect from the upcoming season:

"You will see that there are those who come with the whole family in the room; the dynamic is very crowded, there are moments of laughter and sadness—there is everything."

When asked how she manages to keep the experience fresh after so many years, she noted:

"It might be a cliché, but every birth is such a defining and specific moment; no birth is like the one before it. We always manage to get excited anew. In my opinion, it is the best job in the world."
