He is returning: Bruno Caboclo signed a two-year contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv

Hapoel Tel Aviv has finalized its roster for the 2026/27 season by signing an old-new player. It is Bruno Caboclo, who played for a season and a half in the red uniform and left during last season for Dubai. This evening, Thursday, he returned for another stint with Dimitris Itoudis' team, signing a two-year contract.

Caboclo joined Hapoel Tel Aviv in the summer of 2024 after moving from Partizan Belgrade. During his first season at the club, he averaged 10.6 points per game, 4.8 rebounds, and 0.5 assists, and was a significant part of the team's rotation, which won the EuroCup and achieved a spot in the EuroLeague for the first time in its history. The Brazilian center missed the start of last season due to a back injury, and subsequently did not find his place in Itoudis' rotation. Eventually, he moved to Dubai, where he played 11 games in the EuroLeague, averaging 6.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

Caboclo was selected in the 2014 draft at the 20th spot by the Toronto Raptors, where he played for three and a half seasons and participated in only 25 games. Throughout that period, he also played for the affiliate team in the G League, where he averaged 13.1 points and 6.1 rebounds. In 2018, he joined the Memphis Grizzlies, where he participated in 34 games, recording 8.3 points per game alongside 4.6 rebounds. He began his European career at the German club Ulm, with whom he played in the EuroCup, averaging 17.4 points and 7.8 rebounds. After that season, he moved to Partizan Belgrade, where he averaged 9.4 points and 4 rebounds in 27 EuroLeague games. Caboclo is also a member of the Brazilian national team, and in the last Olympic tournament, he scored an average of 17.2 points per game in four appearances, including 33 against Japan and 30 against the USA in the quarterfinals.
