"He deserves a bullet in the head, that son of a b***h": Wave of threats against Lieberman intensifies
The Yisrael Beiteinu chairman and his family members were mentioned in a series of harsh comments online, including death wishes and calls for harm. The party claims an ongoing escalation and says that dozens of threats have been documented recently.
Yisrael Beiteinu chairman, MK Avigdor Lieberman, is once again at the center of threats and harsh statements on social media. In recent days, comments have been circulated that include death wishes for Lieberman and his children, severe curses, and statements directed at his wife as well. This is another wave of threats against Lieberman, just about a month after a series of explicit threats against him, including a call for a "bullet in the head," were referred to the Knesset officer and law enforcement agencies.
Among the comments circulated online, it was written that Lieberman and his children deserve a "painful death," and in another comment it was written: "May his name be blotted out, Avigdor Lieberman, may you and your wife burn." Another commenter called the Yisrael Beiteinu chairman a "vile person," "cursed," and "worse than Hitler," and wished that he would "suffer a lot" and burn in hell.
In Yisrael Beiteinu, they say that some of the comments were posted from accounts that present themselves as Likud supporters. However, at this stage, there is no independent verification of the identity of the account holders, and there is no indication of a connection between them or an organization behind the posts.
"Yisrael Beiteinu will not be deterred by threats and will not allow violence and incitement to silence its positions," the party stated.
The new threat takes on added severity in light of the sequence of statements against Lieberman in recent times. About a month earlier, additional threats were received, including: "Your wife will say Kaddish for you," "He deserves a bullet in the head, that son of a b***h," and "In danger of life." Following those threats, a complaint was filed with the Knesset officer, in addition to previous complaints filed with law enforcement authorities. The party says that in recent times, dozens of threats have accumulated and that all materials are being documented and transferred to law enforcement agencies for examination and handling.
"Your wife will say Kaddish for you": Two waves of threats within about a month
The two waves of threats, about a month apart, repeatedly include explicit references to Lieberman's death and harming him - from "your wife will say Kaddish for you" and "bullet in the head," to death wishes for him and his children and the statement "may you and your wife burn." Alongside the curses and political attacks, there are phrasings that refer directly to death and physical harm, and in some of them, his family members are also mentioned.
According to Yisrael Beiteinu, this is an ongoing escalation in both the severity of the threats and their scope. At this stage, there has been no report of an arrest or the opening of a criminal investigation following the new wave of statements. Law enforcement agencies will need to examine whether the posts contain suspicion of criminal offenses.
The events come shortly after another unusual statement against Lieberman. At the beginning of the month, Hasidic singer Mordechai Ben David said, during a podcast in Yiddish, that the mohel who circumcised Lieberman "did not cut in the right place," and added: "They should have cut his head off instead." Yisrael Beiteinu defined the words as incitement to murder and said that the use of the name of the Admor of Ribnitsa for the purpose of "spreading hatred and incitement to the murder of Avigdor Lieberman" is a "moral disgrace."
The threats against the Yisrael Beiteinu chairman were also recorded in previous years. In September 2025, Lieberman filed a complaint with the police following a message that stated that "spies from Russia will be executed, Lieberman first." About two months later, another complaint was filed following a message in which he was called a "Nazi" and it was written that "the Jewish people will destroy him." Also in one of the current comments, an image from the world of Nazism was used, when Lieberman was called "worse than Hitler," although there is no basis to link the writers or the cases.
