The IDF and Shin Bet have eliminated 16 key financial operatives of Hamas in Gaza since the war began, disrupting over $1 billion in terror funding.
The IDF and Shin Bet have eliminated 16 key operatives in Hamas’s financial network in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war, cutting off the transfer of over $1 billion to the organization's military wing.
Defense officials stated that the targeted operations are designed to systematically dismantle Hamas's economic infrastructure. The funds were funneled through dozens of currency exchangers in Turkey and the Gaza Strip, financing terrorist salaries, weapons procurement, infrastructure rehabilitation, and attacks against Israelis.
The list of neutralized operatives includes senior financial officials, most notably Muhammad Abu Alwan, head of funds for the political wing, and Ibrahim Abu Shamala, who managed the military wing's finances. Other prominent figures eliminated include infrastructure heads Khader Jamazi, Ayhab Kharizem, and Hussein Qadra.
The IDF and Shin Bet emphasized that striking this network of exchangers severely disrupts Hamas's military capabilities and its capacity to rebuild.
