The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) targeted and eliminated two operatives last week who transferred millions of shekels to Hamas. Alaa Ibrahim Nimr Arshi, a cell commander in the terrorist organization's military wing, was killed in Gaza City. Karam Riad Hassan Abu Batihan, a Palestinian Islamic Jihad operative involved in funneling funds to Hamas, was struck in the Nuseirat refugee camp area.

According to the IDF, the two men spent the conflict transferring millions of shekels from Iran and Turkey to Hamas. These funds supported attempts to rebuild military capabilities and advance attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians. Furthermore, the IDF and Shin Bet launched an airstrike in the central Gaza Strip last week, destroying a Hamas weapons depot containing Kalashnikov rifles, a launcher, and rockets.

Last week, the military also announced the elimination of two other operatives: Akram Bassam Shaaban Yassin, a senior official in Hamas's general security mechanism in the Gaza Strip, and Tamer Muhammad Ibrahim al-Sabaa, who participated in the cell that abducted and murdered Shani Louk on October 7.
