The Israeli Air Force launched a series of airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, targeting multiple sites. According to local reports from Gaza, eight people were killed and six others were wounded in the operations.

IDF sources confirmed that the air force struck targets in Gaza twice during the day. In the latest strike around 1:00 PM near the Al-Mawasi area in Khan Yunis, a group of assembled operatives was targeted. Palestinian reports claimed five operatives were eliminated at the compound, while a security source confirmed a strike on a gathering of operatives but stated that the exact death toll and identities are not yet verified by the military.

In a separate strike in the northern sector of Gaza City, three more operatives were killed and six others were injured, according to local sources. Additional strikes were reported in the Nasser neighborhood in northern Gaza City, though the military did not confirm a third operation.

Meanwhile, Israel's defense establishment dismissed reports published by Arab media outlets regarding alleged new pressure tactics used by the IDF and Shin Bet prior to targeting Hamas operatives. The pan-Arab newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat claimed that Shin Bet officers have been calling operatives to offer them a choice between going up to the roof or remaining inside the building.

Security officials rejected these claims, emphasizing that neither the IDF nor Shin Bet makes phone calls to individuals slated for targeted killings. Officials reiterated that operations are continuously reviewed to minimize civilian casualties and prevent harm to uninvolved individuals.
