The public company IBI Silver Castle, which operates in the field of investment management and financial instruments in digital assets, has announced the appointment of Shay Datika as Chairman of the company's Board of Directors.

The move follows the completion of the acquisition of control over Silver Castle by IBI Investment House and constitutes a key stage in building the company's operations under the new controlling owners. Datika will replace Zvi Ziv, who is ending his tenure after having accompanied the company from its inception.

Datika brings to the position over 25 years of experience in capital markets, banking, trading, and fintech. In the past, he founded and served as CEO of INX, which deals with infrastructure and regulated trading in digital assets and securities, which was later sold to the company Republic.

Furthermore, he founded and managed the company ILS Brokers, held various management and investment roles, and until recently served as a board member and chairman of the investment committee of Altshuler Shaham provident funds.

The appointment comes against the backdrop of the accelerated development and regulatory standardization that the digital assets sector is undergoing worldwide, alongside the increasing entry of institutional entities. Following the transfer of control to IBI, Silver Castle's operations were integrated into the investment house's alternative investments division. The company will focus on developing investment products and financial instruments with an emphasis on risk management, transparency, and compliance with regulatory standards.

CEO of IBI Investment House, Dave Lubetzky, noted that this is the first move in a series of steps to strengthen the company's infrastructure as a basis for the group's expansion in the field. CEO of IBI Silver Castle, Azi Harel, thanked the outgoing chairman Zvi Ziv and praised Datika's experience in connecting the traditional financial system to the blockchain.

The incoming chairman Datika concluded with confidence:

"Blockchain and digital assets are here to stay. The question is no longer 'if', but how. We are marching towards a full transition of the financial world to blockchain and to digital assets."
