Heart Aerospace Unveils World's Largest Electric Aircraft
American company Heart Aerospace has successfully completed a test flight of a full-scale electric aircraft. The 27-minute flight demonstrated the efficiency of the technology, with electricity costs totaling just 5 dollars.
American company Heart Aerospace marked a significant milestone in its history this week, and perhaps for the entire aviation industry, by unveiling a full-scale electric aircraft. The company identified it as the largest electric aircraft ever to take flight.
The X1 model aircraft took off for the first time from Plattsburgh International Airport in New York State. The 27-minute test flight was powered entirely by electricity and included taxiing, takeoff, climbing, maneuvering, and landing, following special approval from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Perhaps the most striking figure is the energy cost. A flight of this magnitude disrupted market expectations, with the company spending only 5 dollars on electricity.
"The X1 is not intended for commercial passenger flights. It is a full-scale demonstrator aircraft designed to test technologies, aerodynamics, and flight performance for the aircraft we hope to produce in the future," the company stated.
The project has been hailed as a resounding success, garnering support from major airlines including United Airlines, Air Canada, and JSX, which have already committed to supporting the project and the upcoming ES-30 aircraft.
