Halle Berry's Daughter Defends Her in Court Against Abuse Allegations
Halle Berry's 18-year-old daughter, Nahla, filed a court declaration defending her mother against abuse allegations made by her former partner, Olivier Martinez.
Nahla, the 18-year-old daughter of Halle Berry, has submitted a court declaration in Los Angeles defending her mother. This comes after Berry's former partner, Olivier Martinez, filed for a temporary restraining order, alleging that Berry physically assaulted their son, Maceo.
According to overseas reports, the declaration was filed in response to Martinez's claims that Berry caused emotional distress to their son through physical abuse, which he is using to push for sole custody. "My mother is a loving and devoted parent," wrote Nahla, Berry's daughter with her former partner Gabriel Aubry, in the legal declaration filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court. "She can be strict when necessary and expects her children to obey rules and be respectful. At the same time, she is warm, supportive, and deeply involved in our lives."
Nahla emphasized that despite her busy work schedule, Berry always made time for her children and did the same for Maceo. She addressed Martinez's allegations directly, stating that she has never witnessed her mother behave violently toward anyone or throw objects like knives or plates. Furthermore, Nahla denied seeing any physical abuse toward Maceo, explaining that roughhousing and tickling on the floor were playful activities rather than aggression.
In his court documents, Martinez claimed he received a panicked phone call from Maceo asking to be picked up because Berry had allegedly attacked and choked him. Berry's legal team, led by attorney Marina Beck, firmly denied the accusations, pointing to photographic evidence, witnesses, and supportive statements from others, including Nahla, that contradict Martinez's claims.
