Haifa Resident Arrested in Tel Aviv Over Indecent Acts at Beach
Police in Tel Aviv arrested a 45-year-old Haifa resident suspected of committing indecent acts at Geula Beach. Records show he was recently investigated for a similar offense.
Police officers from the Lev Tel Aviv station arrested a Haifa resident on Tuesday on suspicion of committing indecent acts against a woman at Geula Beach in the city. The arrest took place after a routine police patrol along the coastline received a report regarding a man who allegedly touched a woman's buttocks at the location. Police forces deployed near the scene arrived quickly, located the suspect, and arrested him for questioning.
Second Case in a Few Months
A check of the suspect's details at the police station revealed that he is a 45-year-old resident of Haifa who is known to law enforcement agencies for similar circumstances. Police records show that this is not the first time he has been involved in offenses of this nature: just last June, a case was opened against him for an identical offense of touching women's buttocks. The previous case was forwarded for review and is currently being handled by the State Attorney's Office.
The suspect was previously arrested in Tel Aviv at Frishman Beach after it was reported that he entered the women's restroom at the beach and blocked a complainant's path. He then followed her and slapped her buttocks. During that previous arrest in the detention cells, he also exposed his genitals while making sexual remarks.
Following his interrogation yesterday at the Lev Tel Aviv station in the Yarkon District, the suspect was detained. He is scheduled to be brought before a judge at the court today, where police will request an extension of his detention regarding the new case opened against him.
