Gal Gadot Against Stereotypes About Israel: "It's Crazy What People Think"

Gal Gadot, Israel's biggest star, was a guest on the successful podcast 'Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard' to promote her new film, 'The Runner', which premieres this week on Amazon. During the conversation, she spoke about the global perception of Israel.

Gadot invited the audience to visit the country: "I invite everyone to come and visit Israel." She explained how disconnected from reality the perceptions of people who have never visited the country can be: "It's crazy what people think about Israel."

"They think we ride camels, that it's all desert, and that people walk around everywhere with M16 rifles, which is really not the case," Gadot explained. "So I always say, 'I invite you to come to Israel; it's a great country, and it's so much fun here.'"

As previously reported, Gadot also spoke with PEOPLE magazine this week about the physical toll of her latest role. "I finished the movie on crutches; I broke both of my feet," the beloved actress revealed.
