Former IDF soldier killed in paragliding accident in Colombia

A 23-year-old Israeli tourist and former IDF soldier was killed in a paragliding accident in the city of Medellin, Colombia. The incident occurred when the paraglider plunged and crashed into a cliffside area amid heavy winds.

According to local reports, the pilot, a Colombian national, sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. Rescue and firefighting forces extracted the body from the wooded crash site. Investigators from the Attorney General's Office examined the rental business, confirming its paperwork was in order.

Chabad emissary Rabbi Levi Vonono coordinated with the Israeli embassy and local authorities to expedite the bureaucratic procedures and ensure the repatriation of the victim's body to Israel for burial.
