The story, which was published among others by Indian news sites NDTV and India Today, began when a woman known as Raq shared her first date experiences on her X account. According to her, the man ordered a luxury car for her, took her to a Michelin-starred restaurant, opened doors for her, and took care of ordering the food throughout the evening.
However, despite the pampering treatment, she decided not to continue the relationship. The reason she pointed out online was particularly surprising: the man was bald. After the meeting, she sent him a polite message thanking him for the evening, explaining that she did not see a romantic match between them, and suggesting they remain friends.
According to the screenshot she published, the man's reaction was far from what she expected to receive. Instead of accepting the breakup, she was asked to reimburse him 1,050 dollars, the amount he claimed to have spent on the date. The correspondence sparked a heated debate on social media, with opinions divided over etiquette and financial expectations in modern dating.
