Female Combat Soldiers Ordered to Leave Northern Outpost

Female combat intelligence soldiers deployed on Wednesday to the Tziporn outpost on the Ramim Ridge in northern Israel were ordered to leave by the brigade rabbi, who claimed their presence violated joint service regulations. The soldiers insisted on staying to complete their mission, but ultimately received an order from above canceling their deployment.

According to the soldiers, they arrived at the outpost on Wednesday night to relieve another team that had been stationed there for two days. They unloaded their equipment and settled into a segregated area of the outpost.

Intervention by the Brigade Rabbi

During drone operations, the brigade rabbi arrived at the position and told the soldiers that outpost conditions contradicted joint service regulations and that staying there was unacceptable. Despite their team commander's attempts to resolve the situation, an order was issued to dismantle the position and return to base.

"It was clear that no matter what we did, even if it was related to an IDF mission, the gender issue was treated as more important than the bigger picture," the soldiers stated.

IDF Response Pending

Requests for comment were sent to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, but no response had been received by the time of publication.
