Eyal Berkovic wants to be Prime Minister: The surprising goal of the former star
In the podcast "The Wizard and His Sons," Eyal Berkovic stated he would prefer the role of Prime Minister over coaching the national football team, citing a desire to address social injustices, particularly for soldiers suffering from PTSD.

In the podcast "The Wizard and His Sons" from "HaPodium," Eyal Berkovic was asked a surprising question: if he had to choose between the position of Prime Minister of Israel and coaching the Israel national football team, which would he prefer. Berkovic did not hesitate to reply that he would choose to be Prime Minister.
Berkovic explained that this choice stems from his desire to act to correct injustices that he believes have been committed in the country. According to him, one of the first issues he would address is the situation of soldiers and those dealing with post-traumatic stress, against the backdrop of cases he has recently encountered in the media.
During the conversation, Berkovic claimed that there are thousands in Israel dealing with post-traumatic stress who are not receiving the required treatment. He emphasized that the state needs to provide them with a more significant response. "I didn't say they aren't taken care of at all, but they aren't taken care of enough," he said.
Berkovic added that the issue burns within him and that if he were to take responsibility for the country, the treatment of soldiers and those dealing with post-traumatic stress would be at the top of his priorities.
These comments were made during a family conversation on the podcast, to which Berkovic's son, Lior, responded with a smile and humor: "I'm done for; in a few years, I'm going to have security like Yair Netanyahu."
