After his demand to double his salary was not met, and following the exercise of the option in his contract for the upcoming season, Shahar rejected the offer from the sporting director, the Belgian Steven Vanharen, to extend the engagement. This means that as early as this coming January, the midfielder will be able to freely conduct negotiations with other clubs.
