Following the US midterm elections, which highlighted shifts in American public opinion regarding Israel, Yashar! party chairman Gadi Eisenkot issued a message to international partners. Eisenkot, widely expected to receive the mandate to form a government, emphasized that Israeli citizens voted for change and the replacement of the current administration.

Building a New Government and Strengthening Democracy

"Israeli citizens voted for change and for the replacement of the current government. Our democracy is robust, and we are working to fulfill the will of Israel's citizens by forming a new government as soon as possible—a national emergency government," Eisenkot stated. He added that his leadership aims to establish a stronger, Jewish and democratic, liberal and egalitarian Israel that remains secure in its future.

Deepening US-Israel Relations

Addressing the bilateral ties, Eisenkot defined the relationship as transcending intergovernmental alliances. He noted that the partnership between the two nations is built across generations on shared democratic values. Eisenkot reached out to US President Donald Trump, stating that he looks forward to close cooperation with his administration to advance shared security interests and regional stability.
