Dispute over Kervin Andrade: Where will the Venezuelan midfielder play?

While Maccabi Tel Aviv is close to finding solutions for Ion Nicolaescu and Henry Addo in order to release them and clear space to add a foreign player, there are significant hurdles regarding Kervin Andrade.

The main issue is a dispute with his agent, who is pushing for a return to South America and wants him to play even in the Brazilian second division, while Maccabi Tel Aviv prefers him to develop at a European club.

As recalled, Maccabi Tel Aviv purchased the Venezuelan midfielder and wants him loaned to a team where he can play as much as possible. The club believes he can develop further, return in a year as a stronger player, or alternatively increase his market value for a future sale, as was the case with Wesley Patati.

Maccabi Tel Aviv has already identified teams willing to take Andrade on loan, but he and his agent want to return to South America to be closer to his home in Venezuela. At this stage, there is no path toward a resolution, and this is blocking Maccabi Tel Aviv from adding another foreign player to the roster.

Maccabi Tel Aviv needs a center-back, a right winger, and an attacking midfielder. In total, these are three positions, and for this to happen, players must be released to clear space for foreign signings.

Meanwhile, the club is preparing for the Toto Cup semi-final tonight (Sunday, 20:00, Sport4) against Maccabi Netanya at the HaMoshava Stadium.

Despite the proximity of Thursday's match in Bulgaria against CSKA Sofia, coach Kenny Miller has called up most of the first-team players and intends to integrate quite a few of them, unlike, for example, Hapoel Be'er Sheva, which played yesterday without a single player who started in the lineup last week against Red Star Belgrade.
