Dor Turgeman Scores Brace as New England Revolution Extends Winning Run
New England Revolution striker Dor Turgeman scored a brace to reach 12 goals this season, leading his team to a fourth consecutive win and securing home-field advantage in the MLS playoffs.
Dor Turgeman is currently enjoying the best form of his career. The New England Revolution forward scored another brace overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, raising his tally to five goals in his last four matches. He is currently the hottest striker in Major League Soccer, helping his team secure a crucial victory.
"I am very happy to score and help the team win, we just need to keep it up in the next game as well," Turgeman said. "Almost every week coach Marko Mitrovic and I watch video analysis, it really helps me and I am truly glad that I manage to bring it onto the pitch and execute."
Scoring Form and Statistics
Turgeman's numbers lately have been exceptional, boasting 12 league goals and seven assists this season. Since returning from the World Cup break, he has netted 10 times. After switching his jersey number from 11 to 99, he has been unstoppable with nine goals in 15 appearances, following a slower start earlier in the campaign.
In the previous match, Turgeman became the first New England striker to reach double digits in goals since Adam Buksa and Gustavo Bou in 2021. Ahead of the upcoming playoffs, he is poised to build on this momentum as New England secured their fourth consecutive win to lock down home-field advantage.
Praise and Upcoming Challenges
American media and analysts have been full of praise for the Israeli forward. Journalist Hayden Bird noted that Turgeman not only scores goals but also creates space for teammates, pressures central defenders, and drops deep to help build up attacks, displaying all the necessary traits of a complete striker.
After a thrilling match that ended in a dramatic win following a 2:2 draw against the New York Red Bulls, New England prepares for high-profile fixtures. Turgeman and teammate Ilay Feingold will next face Inter Miami and Lionel Messi, followed by a regular-season finale against Orlando City.
